The Bible rewritten and commented!

I’ve finished to write my first book as independent Editor. The book speaks of the first three chapters of Genesis, translated directly from the original text in ancient Hebrew, but taking care to better explain the words that are unclear in the modern Bibles. For instance, the phrase “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1,1) is translated as follows: “In the beginning God created all that exists.”

It is a kind of Rewritten Bible, that is not a new version of the Bible, but just a paraphrase intended to make easy the reading and the understanding of a such an old book like the Bible. Why there are different translations? In my book I will answer this question by providing plausible arguments for each different translation or for words that I added to the text. And there’s more …

I will point out everything that usually gets overlooked in the explanations given by biblical scholars to Genesis, bringing out hidden connections, narrative plots that may provide a solution to the many questions that fill your mind when you read these chapters: God also created the evil? Why eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil produce death? Who or what is the snake? The first man and the first woman really existed? Can God curse his creatures? I’ll also speak about the strange relationship between Eve and the snake and I’ll try to cast light on the mystery of the snake’s presence in the Garden of Eden …

These are just some of the aspects of the hebrew text that I’ll explain on the base of the the Hebrew and Greek words’ meanings that are usually excluded by exegetes, but they instead are traces of the way of thinking of those who wrote these chapters, the environment in which they lived. These forgotten meanings are fragments of the stories that the authors discarded or hid, to give way instead to what they thought were the important things we should know.

If you choose to read the book, you’ll see that these first three chapters of the Hebrew Bible contain an urgent message for those people who believe they can do everything by themselves, forgetting their Origin and trampling everything and everyone in order to assert themselves. My book also suggests that the paradise is not lost, because it is a possibility for each of us if we accept to be human beings and not gods!

We hope that the book will be published in Italian at the end of november in ebook and, upon request, it will also be available in paperback. Moreover you will find my book in the bookstores that will request it. The book cover will be a surprise that I’m sure you’ll appreciate too much. In early 2015, the book will also be available in English.
