Learning Biblical Hebrew (Lesson 24)

In this lesson we return to our discussion of Hebrew verbs. Like nouns, Hebrew verbs are composed of a root and a pattern. The Yiqtol Verb form is also known as the “prefix conjugation”, because the subject pronoun of the verb is attached to the basic form, as a prefix.  We will create some Hebrew sentences with the Yiqtol form.
